A new deadline was announced on Saturday. Anglers will have until March 10, 2019 to get their fish houses moved.

Normally February 28 is the deadline to remove fish houses from lakes in South Dakota. It's a sound policy since it is entirely possible to hit the 40's and 50's by March 1. This year that seems a little hasty.

The ice needs to be at least 4" thick for ice fishing. 100 inches if you bring Godzilla. Also, move your ice shacks this week.
