During the COVID-19 pandemic, parents are learning to be teachers for their kids.  Since they are also remotely working from home, they might not always have time to be "mom and dad."  Leave it to the men and women from the Yankton Police Department to give parents an extra hand for parents during bedtime.

Dakota News Now is reporting that officers read a children's book each night on Facebook live to give parents at least a 15-minute break to end their busy days.  They also take this time to answer any questions kids might have about being a police officer.

"Bedtime Stories With the Yankton Police Department" is truly an amazing way to connect and stay active with the community while practicing social distancing.  These adventures with the Yankton Police Department would not be possible without the partnership of their community library.

Tune into the Yankton Police Department Facebook page every night around 8 o'clock to watch the officers' bedtime stories!
