Here it is again, Monday morning. The dog's been walked, so I thought it was about time to get a little work done.

It was a pretty busy weekend around our neighborhood. I heard lawnmowers whirring, neighbors were out for a social distance walk with the family. There was even a social distance birthday party for a guy that turned 94 over the weekend a couple of blocks away. I don't know about you, but it was great to see people getting out and starting to look like things were going to start getting back to 'real.'

I took a moment this morning to take a look at a few things around my house. For instance, pictured above is a simple flower. We're proud of that flower. Sort of. My wife and I planted these bulb things last fall in hopes that we would have the beautiful bunch of flowers coming up this spring. One simple flower popped up. But it's pretty, so I took a picture of it with the Samsung Galaxy S10 I use courtesy of Sprint Sioux Falls.

These other purple flowers have been around for a couple of years, but I'm encouraged when I see them popping up. When they make their appearance I know that warmer weather is on the way.

One of the byproducts of having two dogs in the house for much of the winter also presents a different challenge. With no fence in the back yard, there were a lot of 'leashed potty breaks over the winter months. The lawn in front of our house is proof that there is work to be done. We're hoping to have that greened up and cleaned up by sometime in mid-June.

How about your place? Did you get a chance to mow and clean up around the place this weekend? If you have some awesome spring flower pics to share with me you can email me anytime at jdcollins@kikn.com. If I get some nice ones I'll put together a story featuring some of them.
