The final week of the regular season is here and we have a new number one team in class 11A in this week's rankings.

Playoffs for each class will begin the weekend of October 25. 11B, 9AA, 9A, and 9B each play an extra round of the playoffs compared to 11AAA, 11AA, and 11A.

Class 11AAA

Only one change in this week's poll as Aberdeen Central has moved up to the 5th ranking. Roosevelt and Washington meet this week for the top seed in 11AAA for the playoffs. O'Gorman plays a Lincoln team that is battling for their playoff lives, while Brandon Valley faces Aberdeen Central.

Class 11AA

The middle of 11AA has been a roller coaster this year. Pierre and Yankton have fallen out of the top five after losses last week. Douglas has moved into the 5th spot after beating the Bucks 14-7. Pierre dropped a tough loss to Mitchell 42-13. Harrisburg pulled out a 10 point win over Brookings, while Spearfish defeated Sturgis Brown 21-16.

Class 11A

Madison held a 25-0 lead over Tea Area at halftime last week and it looked like the Bulldogs would be heavy favorites heading towards the playoffs. Not so fast. The Titans stormed back to defeat Madison 28-25 and take the top spot in this week's poll. Madison has fallen behind St. Thomas More, who continues to roll through their schedule. Sioux Falls Christian remains ranked 4th while Dell Rapids has secured the 5th ranking alone this week.

Class 11B

The Winner show continues in 11B after a 54-0 shutout win over Redfield/Doland. Groton Area remains ranked 2nd after a bye week last week. Tri-Valley is tied for third even after losing to West Central 14-0. West Central may not be ranked but they might have saved their playoff lives with the win. Sioux Valley jumped into the top five after a 13-7 win over McCook Central/Montrose. Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan fell one spot to 5th during their bye week.

Class 9AA

9AA remains fairly consistent this week with Canistota hanging on to the top spot after a 48-0 win over Menno/Marion. Gregory finished their regular season schedule last week with a 36-7 win over Kimball/White Lake. Webster Area remains ranked third after a 56-12 win over Tri-State. Wolsey-Wessington finished their regular season schedule with a win, and their only loss this season has been to Gregory. Baltic jumped into the 5th ranking with a 7-0 record and a 44-6 win over Parker.

No changes this week in 9A outside of a tie for the 5th ranking in this week's poll. Sully Buttes remains the favorite with Warner closely behind. Potter County remains in 3rd with an undefeated 7-0 record. Colman-Eagan beat Dell Rapids-St. Mary 46-6 to stay in 4th. Castlewood/Estelline and Gayville-Volin after both picked up wins last week.

The same five teams take the top five rankings in this week's poll once again, however one change was made at the bottom. Since their bye week, Hamlin has lost two straight games and that has moved them down to 5th. Colome with a 6-1 record has jumped to 4th following 52-0 win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour. Corsica-Stickney, Harding County, and Langford Area remain in the top three spots.
