Some Thoughts and Poem For National Children’s Day

Here is a poem I wrote trying to explain the importance of the children in my life that changed everything about the way I lived.

I'm one of those nerds who likes to know what holidays are on every calendar day of the week and I'm a daily checker of the National Calendar website.

I saw today Sunday, June 9th is National Children's Day.

National Children's Day doesn't get the same attention as Mothers Day or Fathers Day but I can't think of a bigger life change than when kids show up in your life.

Here are some ideas on how to celebrate from the National Calendar website:

A day to honor the children in our lives, National Children’s Day is a time to slow down our fast-paced lives, turn off the tech and refocus on the important things.  Taking one day may not be enough, but using it as an opportunity to redirect our family’s lives may be an important step in a child’s life.
