A Sioux Falls pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint outside an apartment complex Wednesday night on the east side of the city by two men.

"After he made that delivery, the victim was coming out of the building and was walking to his car. Two guys then came up to him. One of them was armed with a handgun," explained Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.

"They demanded cash. Aside from the money, the suspects also took his cell phone. Both men are black, around 5'8" and a thin build."

Clemens urges residents to be aware of their surroundings day and night in order to prevent from being a crime victim.

"Just keep an an eye out. If you see something suspicious, if things just don't seem right, don't put yourself in that situation. If you're near a building, go inside and call police. That's the best advice we can give. Try not to put yourself in those situations is probably one of the best things that people can do."
