That's what Falls Park looks like the morning after a record rainfall in Sioux Falls. Another four and a half inches drenched the area Saturday into Sunday morning, bringing the total to about nine inches since the start of June!

Longtime friend and listener Spirit Sparks snapped a couple of pictures and a two powerful videos of the Falls below that show you just how fast the water is flowing in the park.

It gives us a good opportunity to remind everyone to be very careful around the water in Falls Park. With no fence or barrier, the beauty of the Falls can become very dangerous as we've unfortunately witnessed over the past couple of years.

If you bring the family down to take some pictures or to enjoy the outdoors (if it ever stops raining!), please be extremely careful near the water and keep the kids away from the edge.

Brief rains Sunday afternoon should pass through the area quickly, but we're expecting another batch of thunderstorms Monday afternoon and night with heavy rains again. In fact, the extended forecast for the week calls for a chance of rain every day except Wednesday, so flooding can and likely will continue.
