Rodents Have Been Busy in Your Yard This Past Winter
At first glance you might think the photo above is an ariel view of another planet. what it actually is, is proof that while that snow was piled up in your Sioux Falls backyard, Mother Nature was busy under the snow.
Check out the highways and interstates that mice and maybe voles have been making over the winter.
Yep, you looked out the backyard window and saw snow banks, but under those piles rodents were cruising around, not having to worry about birds and other enemies. While we were struggling with how the snow looked and where it was piled, these critters were cuddled up and cruising around in their newly formed maze.
I actually took this photo on the way to a Skyforce game at The Sandford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. But you can expect that many backyards will have the same designs in places in their yard as the snow drifts continue to recede.
What's next? My question is, how will your lawn fare after being crushed by tons of snow this past winter?
Thank you for sharing this story with friends who maybe have the same weird patterns showing up on their properties.
