Loud and Heavy with Cody Jinks

Songs. Where do they come from? Do they just appear out of thin air? Where does the inspiration come from?  Sometimes from a child's car seat in the back of a white van.

I've wondered for quite a while now, where and how Cody Jinks came up with the song "Loud and Heavy."

Loud thunder heavy rain
Thin line between joy and pain
It's a long strange trip it's all insane
You ain't ever gonna be the same

 

This past week, my son Jake and I met Cody. Right after I had a chance to sit down Cody Jinks before his concert at The District I asked where the song "Loud and Heavy" came from. He told me an interesting story.
