The picture above is the James River heading west into Olivet in southeast South Dakota. The Jim is spreading it's waters further and further out!

There's a lot of water out there, trying to get the the ocean and its causing problems around South Dakota as well as Nebraska and Minnesota. The Big Sioux River is WAY up here in Sioux Falls as well as the north and south. The Vermillion River is way outside the banks as well. And the James River is running in places some of the locals have never seen!

Friday afternoon we talked with Tom Fischer from Menno,South Dakota. If you take a look at the picture above courtesy of Jim Massey you can see the actual bridge, that doesn't have water going over it, but the whole stretch of road coming from the east is a moving wall of water.

Areas to the north including Milltown, Mitchell and from Alexandria area received crazy amounts of rain earlier in the week and it's all headed south.

Speaking of heading south, you can't help but wondering what the people in Omaha and St. Louis are thinking about now. All that water, is coming their way.
