Jason Aldean brought some joy to a special fan in Arizona who nearly died due to injuries she sustained during the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

According to KVOAAldean visted the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Ariz., to help bring a smile to the face of Jovanna Calzadillas, spending time with her and her husband and giving her an autographed guitar. The institute shared a photo on Facebook of Calzadillas' visit with the country star, smiling at the camera as she stands between her husband and Aldean, who's hoisting the signed guitar.

Calzadillas was in attendance at the festival in Las Vegas when the shooting occurred and was shot in the head, resulting in severe brain injuries doctors did not think she would recover from. The AZ Central reports that she's a mother of two children and was standing near the stage during the shooting when a bullet struck her on the left side of her head. But Calzadillas miraculously healed from her life-threatening injuries in what her doctors described as a "remarkable recovery."

These Are the Faces and Stories of the Las Vegas Victims

The singer and his wife Brittany returned to Vegas a week after Route 91 to visit with patients in the hospital who were injured. A group of fans have come together online through the Facebook group "58 Survivors, 1 Last Set," asking Aldean to finish his set that was cut short due to the shooting, saying it would bring a sense of healing.

The country singer also returned to Vegas for the 2018 ACM Awards, where he performed his new single, "You Make It Easy," and was crowned Entertainer of the Year.

"If we're going to go back, I think the ACMs are the place to go back and be, because you're surrounded by all your friends and artists," he said before the awards show. "You feel like you have a support system there."
