At the end of May, the BottleRock Napa Valley festival took place. The lineup included acts such as Foo Fighters, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Maroon 5. But there was something interesting that happened during one of the other acts that has gotten some attention.

During Outkast member Big Boi and EDM duo White Panda set, they played to a crowd of more then 4,000 who were wearing headphones! According to Pollstar, "Approximately 4,400 younger concertgoers wore approximately 4,400 headsets to achieve the largest “silent concert” in North America."

No P.A. during the show. The only way to listen to the performance is to put on the headset. The headsets had two channels on them where you can switch to either performers show.

Apparently the "Silent Concerts" have bee going on for the past 20 years, but this is the first time that it has happened during a major performance. Could this trend catch on? Will we see more shows like this in the future?
