Memories from Memorial Day weekend are still fresh in our minds.  But even though we just had the unofficial opening weekend of summer, which included many people starting the camping season, it's already time to start making those reservations for camping on what is considered the last weekend of summer.

Labor Day weekend is still three months away, but campsite and cabin reservations for Labor Day weekend in South Dakota parks open Saturday.  Because Labor Day weekend is a holiday weekend, reservations must be made for three nights.

Campers can make reservations on Thursday, May 29th if they will be arriving on their campsite on Wednesday, August 27th.  For Thursday, August 28th arrivals, reservations open May 30th.  And for campers that will begin their Labor Day weekend on Friday, August 29th, reservations can be made starting Saturday, May 31st.

Reservations can be made by phone or online and can be made 90 days before your arrival date.
