Red eyes and swimming seem to go hand in hand. It's happened since the beginning of swimming. The most common reasoning? Chlorine. You know exactly what I'm talking about. You go to the pool, then you check your eyes, or your kids eyes and it looks like their bloodshot and all red. Turns out, there's a good reason for the bloodshot eyes.

Now, hold on to your laptop or grip that smartphone. According to Today.com;

Have you ever had red, bloodshot eyes after swimming in a pool? It's not the chlorine causing them to redden and sting. It's urine mixing with the pool's chemicals.

On that note, have a nice summer!

Just kidding. But it does make you wonder. Sometimes you go, to the pool that is and you're eyes get much redder than other times.

They always say take a shower before you jump in. Maybe one after jumping out isn't a bad idea either.
