I remember looking for my glasses when I was in 1st of second grade for several months.

Mom and Dad thought I had lost them on purpose so I wouldn't have to wear them. (I didn't like them at the time) But, I had really lost them.

I'd had my 6th birthday party a couple of months earlier. Oh, I found them alright about 4 months later.  On top of a haystack back in in the hay yard. Seems we had been out climbing on the hay stacks during my birthday party. Yep, kids did that back then. They had fallen out of my pocket.

Once I lost my billfold and couldn't find it. I had put it in a pocket of a wind shirt that I wore to church.  I have a habit of hanging things back up, if I have only wore them for an hour or two, which I did after church that day. Unfortunately the weather was warming up and wearing another layer wasn't important. It took me a while to find that one too.

If you've seen me, you know that I wear my keys on a key ring I wear on my pants. All the time. There's a reason for that too. Are you starting to get the picture?!

This past weekend, I washed my gym bag. I won't bore you with the details of why I washed the bag, but I not only washed the bag, but a cell phone I have been carrying for about 4 years too.

Cell phones don't like water.

At all.

I knew something was up when I couldn't find the phone, but it was kicking the calls to voice mail right away. That's usually not a good sign, cause I knew the battery was charged and I rarely shut that phone off.

Yep. I found it today. The Green Bay Packer case was still moist and wet.

It's amazing how reliant we are on technology now days. We carry around mini computers, calculators and movie cameras. The only thing these phones don't do nowadays is make brownies in the microwave for you. And warn you before you put them in the washer.

I suppose I could have had it fall out of a pocket in a porta potty at Dakotafest. Or it could have fell down into the water at the river while we were skiing. Instead, it faded off into the cell phone sunset with a tumble into the washing machine.

I had been carrying two phones. Don't ask me why. I'm not sure. Probably cause I hadn't updated my contacts list on the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 I also carry. Oh, the Sprint phone is fine. My other phone, not doing so well.
