My mom is a saint. She is still storing a bunch of my old toys in her attic and I still haven't taken them. When my family was there for Christmas my son wanted to check out some of my old Star Wars Stuff.

We crawled into the way back of the attic, which was more of an unheated adjacent hallway next to my old bedroom, and dug out a couple of boxes. One of them said "Andy Star Wars" and the other said "Andy He-Man/Star Wars."

The most interesting piece that was unboxed was the Ewok Village. It was probably my favorite Star Wars thing to play with. I had a bunch of the Ewoks for it and Princess Leia and C-3P0 to go with it. The set is almost complete. The string that held the boulder is broken and so is a piece of the barbecue pit. Otherwise, I have all of the pieces, including the super awesome booby trap net.

I posted a pic of me and my son messing around with it and a friend commented that the Ewok Village is worth some serious money. And it is. A complete set is on auction at eBay from around $50 all the way up to $2,500 for one sealed in the original box.

Mine has some minor breakage but it's in very good shape. Looking at the individual parts people sell, I could make way more parting mine out. For instance, the net from my original 1983 set goes for $12 by itself. I was pretty surprised.

We also came across the dreaded Rancor. Jabba the Hutt's deadly and massive creature under his throne room on Tatooine chewed up a guard and a dancer before Luke Skywalker had to deal with the beast.

This guy isn't that valuable, but I was pretty stoked it was worth $60 or more. A more valuable toy is the Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight action figure. I have it in that box of toys, which was the costume he wore when he battled the Rancor. That one, new in box, is going for $500 on eBay. Mine would probably not be worth that.

My collection wouldn't be worth a fortune but I could probably get a few hundred bucks out of it if I needed to. Mine were all played with and definitely looked used but they were in better shape than I remember them being in.

After playing with it for about 15 minutes my son looks up at me and says "Your toys were so much cooler than mine!" He's not wrong!
