Well, the Parkston Event is over. Team Sonnie was out in full force in Parkston, South Dakota on Saturday, May 17th. Now, we're getting ready for the Wessington Springs leg of the party!

That's right, Kickin' Country jumped on the Team Sonnie Team bandwagon!  My son Logan and I stopped by after a graduation party in the Wagner area. And the people of the Parkston area did too! It was great to get out and see many of you Saturday night!  Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

18 month Sonnie Schimke (son of Christina Stainbrook-Schimke and Layton Schimke and grandson of John and Janice (Pokorney) Stainbrook-Milltown, Teresa and Jim Mann-Parkston and Merle and Marcie Schimke-Wessington Springs) was diagnosed with leukemia in the fall of 2013. As you can well imagine, medical bills are staggering and Kickin' Country wanted to help! Money raised will help offset expenses going to and from Sioux Falls for Sonnie's treatments. Sonnie and his family live in Wessignton Springs so it's quite a drive!

Now, we mentioned earlier that Sonnie is from Wessington Springs. The folks in the Springs area are going to have a fundraiser too!

Our Local bike group got together and wanted to raise money for the Sonnie.  They decided to do a Poker Run/Benefit. May 31st 2014.
