The video for George Strait's new song "Codigo" is made even more special by a rare guest appearance from his wife Norma.

The feel-good clip takes viewers down to Mexico, where Strait's Codigo brand of tequila is made, bringing us into the agave fields in between shots of people dancing and enjoying life amongst the beautiful backdrop.

Norma makes a few brief but significant appearances—she can first be seen sitting at a scenic outdoor bar, laughing and raising a glass with friends as the cheery song plays in the background. She makes another quick appearance at the end of the video, dancing with her husband alongside many other happy couples as the sun sets.

Though they've been married for nearly 50 years, the Straits have kept their relationship mostly out of the public eye throughout George's high-profile music career, which spans more than 30 years and includes more No. 1 hits than any other artist in country music history. The two met in high school and dated off and on in their youth before eloping in Mexico in 1971. The couple parented two children: Son Bubba, who is the singer's frequent co-writer; and daughter Jenifer, who was tragically killed in a car accident when she was 13 years old.

"Norma and I are so blessed that we found each other...and were able to do all of this together, experience this life together, support each other through everything, good times and bad," Strait says in a 2012 interview with People. "We do almost everything together...We love each other and we still like each other. A lot!"

"Codigo" is featured on Strait's new album, Honky Tonk Time Machine.
