Garth Brooks' next project, which as it stands seems to be to be a live album recorded over the duration of his three-year U.S. tour, will feature something extra special for both fans of his music and that of up-and-coming country. He's going to include a song by rising star Ashley McBryde on the record, namely, the title track from her debut album, Girl Going Nowhere.

Brooks revealed this bit of info during his weekly Inside Studio G Facebook Live video session on Monday (Aug. 20), confirming both that his Triple Live is on the way and that it will include McBryde's song, which he's performed live several times at his own shows.

McBryde told Sounds Like Nashville that she's thrilled the icon is covering her song. "He started covering, ‘Girl Going Nowhere’ in the middle of last year and we didn’t know that he was going to put it on record or anything," she explained. "So it was really cool when he called and said, “Ms. Ashley, can I put ‘Boy Going Nowhere’ on my record?’"

McBryde, of course, said yes...and now is enjoying showing off Brooks' name on her phone whenever he calls (who can blame her?). "He's the nicest guy in the world," she enthused.

There's no official release date for Triple Live yet, but it's a safe bet that Brooks will be keeping fans well informed as time goes along.

McBryde's Girl Going Nowhere was released in March. The Arkansas native has her share of big-name cheerleaders besides Brooks, with Eric Church being a particular fan. She'll be busy touring the U.S. September through the end of the year.

As for Brooks? He told fans in July that he's set to play the first-ever concert at the University of Notre Dame, which some are suspecting is a kickoff to a full-on college stadium tour across the country.
