Monday morning, the crock pot was staring at us. It's like it can almost talk. Sometimes I think it's saying something like, 'your not going to put that in me again are you?

Face it. Supper can be a tough 'fix.' You would like to mix it up, but somehow fall back to the old standards. Hey, we all do it.

I posed the question on our Facebook page Monday saying, 'I have a fridge with just about everything in it, and a crock pot that's ready to work. Any suggestions?' And let's just say the ideas started flowing!

  • Pam Hall Pork butt roast, can of root beer, one btl of bbq sauce... you will thank me later
  • Amanda Lind Lasagna, best way to make it is in crockpot. Brown beef, add sauce paste salt pepper garlic. Put a layer of beeg sauce, lasagna noodles, cottage ch, mozz ch, and repeat until beef sauce is gone. Cook low 4-6 hours
  • Amy Jo Schmitz 4 frozen chicken breasts, 24 oz of what ever salsa, 24 oz of chicken broth. 8 hours on low. When done, use the juice from crock-pot to make spanish rice (use minute rice & sub the juice in place of the water)
  • Dorah WaughRoast with cabbage potato's and carrots simple easy and delicious and your house will smell amazing!

And here's the one we've never tried, that we're going to have to take on a crock pot ride!

Amanda Lind Lasagna, best way to make it is in crock-pot. Brown beef, add sauce paste salt pepper garlic. Put a layer of beeg sauce, lasagna noodles, cottage ch, mozz ch, and repeat until beef sauce is gone. Cook low 4-6 hours.

Somewhere, there are ingredients being bought, and a crock pot being filled for dinner tonight. Nothing says, I got you covered, I have this taken care of than a crock pot dinner waiting at home!
