If you are a user of the on-line auction site eBay, consider this your warning to change your eBay password.  Users of eBay are being encouraged to change their password after a cyber attack jeopardized a database containing passwords.

Even though the database was originally hacked in late February or early March, there is no evidence that any financial or credit card information has been stolen.  However, eBay is saying that the investigation is still on-going, with the help of law enforcement agencies, but will not make comments regarding the amount of accounts affected by this cyber attack .

A small amount of employee log-ins were reported stolen.  Those employee credentials would give the cyber-attackers access to the company's corporate network.

EBay also owns PayPal, but there has been no indication that PayPal user information and accounts have been affected.
