Looks like we can add another major music event in the area to the postponement list due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dakota News Now is reporting the popular Christian music festival RiseFest has been pushed back to Labor Day Weekend.

The festival is now slated for (September 4-5) just outside Sheldon, Iowa. The 2020 RiseFest was originally scheduled for (June 19-20).

Each year RiseFest brings some of the biggest names in Christian music to the Sioux Empire.

RISE Ministries president Rob Roozeboom told Dakota News Now, “It hasn’t been an easy decision, but we feel it’s in the best interest of you our festival-goers, our artists and volunteers, and all involved with the festival that we make this very important change.”

If you've already purchased your RiseFest 2020 tickets, make sure you hold on to them. According to festival organizers, all previously purchased tickets will still be good for the new dates in September.
