Coming Soon: Angry Birds – Star Wars [VIDEO]

Star Wars is going to to the birds – Angry Birds. After a lot of rumors and Twitter teasers, Rovio announced Monday that they're launching Angry Birds Star Wars on November 8th.

How popular is this bird vs. pig thing? Well, in May of this year, Rovio confirmed over one billion downloads and growing. Yes, billion, making it the most popular mobile download apps of all time.

My kids have also been taken in by the Angry Bird phenomena having played all of the available games thus far. My oldest was even invited to an Angry Birds birthday party recently which had kids flinging birds at pigs the entire party, pausing only to have a piece of "Yellow Bird cake."

I'm also pretty sure there are a few green pigs taking a never-ending ride on the ceiling fan blades above my kitchen as I write this.

So get ready, because on November 8th your favorite birds and Star Wars characters will morph into one with Luke Skywalker as the red bird, Han Solo as the yellow bird and Chewbacca as the big green bird.
