In case you didn't know, the first day of Chanukah this year is Thursday, December 10th. That is tomorrow!

Lucky for you, I know just the way to celebrate. You don't even have to leave your car or be Jewish!

The Chabad Jewish Center of South Dakota is hosting a 'drive-in' menorah lighting in parking lot A of the Premier Center.

The festivities start at 5:30 and admission is free.

Just tune your radio to 81.3 to listen along.

The Facebook event page says quote, "Join us for a super Covid safe event that will be a super spreader of LIGHT, as we line up our cars at the PREMIER Center Parking Lot A (near the stadium) for a Chanukah celebration like you've never. seen. before."

The Chabad Jewish Center of South Dakota's website states, "The Public Menorah celebrates Jewish tradition, culture, and pride. Join us in this annual celebration opened to the wider Sioux Falls community, as we light the giant menorah and celebrate Chanukah with community leaders."

Along with lighting the menorah, there will also be songs, latkes*, donuts, chocolate gelt**, and my personal favorite, FIREWORKS!

The event is free, however, they are asking that you RSVP on their website so they can plan accordingly.

Hanukkah Sameach! Mazel Tov!

*latkes are potato pancakes

**chocolate gelt are chocolate coins, gelt means money
