After 19 Years, Lifelight Festival Is No More!
Lifelight Festival, the annual free outdoor Christian music festival held over Labor Day weekend on a farm near Worthing, South Dakota has come to an end.
According to the Argus Leader, the organization behind it has decided to refocus its ministry efforts.
Founder Alan Greene sent out a letter to supporters saying:
"For LifeLight, the festival has always been a tool to preach the gospel, however in the past few years, it’s felt like we’ve spent more time on the tool than we have sharing the good news of Jesus. We have felt God calling us in a new direction and we’re seeking to be faithful to that call."
The organization will still have a smaller festival scheduled on Labor Day weekend called "Cityfest."
