News: Powerball Has $425 Million Winner. Bad News: It’s Not You

The Powerball jackpot has been swelling since Christmas Day and it reached $425 million for Wednesday night's drawing. According to lottery officials, the sole winning ticket was purchased at a gas station in Milpitas, California.

The winning Powerball numbers were 1, 17, 35, 49, 54, and 34, according to South Dakota's lottery website.

If the winner opts to take Wednesday night's prize as a lump sum, it would amount to $227.8 million
