What Do Amy Schumer’s Baby and South Dakota Have in Common?

This has big a big week for babies.

First on Monday (May 6), the latest royal arrival, a son for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was born in the UK.

Back in America the night before, comedian and actress Amy Schumer gave birth to a baby boy of her own.

And while little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor grabs all of the fanfare that comes with being seventh in line to the throne in England, Gene Attell Fischer is the toast of South Dakota.

Why?

According to Names.org, the Mount Rushmore State leads the nation in the 'Gene' category with 0.18 percent of the population sporting that first name. And it's not likely we're giving up that title any time soon since only 86 babies were named Gene in all of the U.S. last year.
