Twin Cities Summer Jam returned to Canterbury Park in Shakopee Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 23. As has been the case in past years, the 2022 lineup was an eclectic mix of genres that included Hairball headlining on Thursday and a Friday lineup that included Kidd G, Nelly and Kane Brown.

On Saturday, the day got off to a stormy start which led to Classic Rockers .38 Special being unable to perform as scheduled. However, the weather did improve which allowed rising country star Elvie Shane and Trace Adkins to perform on the main stage ahead of headliner Blake Shelton.'s Chris Riemenschneider was there to review the show and in his opinion, Blake Shelton's set hit its peak when a very well-known surprise guest joined Blake on stage:

Gwen Stefani trotted out halfway through her husband Blake Shelton's headlining set Saturday night, and at last it felt like the concert was off to the races. Many of the 15,000 fans reacted as if they had won the Pick Six bet at the horse track that once again hosted the ambitious music festival.

Gwen reportedly came out and sang the song 'Don't Speak', which was a #1 smash hit for her band No Doubt in 1996. She then joined Blake to sing their hit duets "Nobody But You" and "Happy Anywhere".

Riemenschneider shared some of those fun moments on his Instagram page.

Paul Allen, who is the radio voice of the Minnesota Vikings as well as the announcer at Canterbury Park, was also at the show and shared the "cool" experience shortly thereafter on Twitter.

Blake reportedly announced "You're welcome, Minnesota," before adding "Now comes the part of the show where Gwen's finished and I'm still up here."

Of course since Trace Adkins was also on the bill, the two friends also shared the stage for a couple songs.

If you missed Twin Cities Summer Jam this year, it'll be back in 2023 and organizers already have the dates locked in.

I trust it'll be another eclectic and fun lineup next summer in Shakopee.

LOOK: 50 famous memes and what they mean

With the infinite number of memes scattered across the internet, it's hard to keep track. Just when you've grasped the meaning of one hilarious meme, it has already become old news and replaced by something equally as enigmatic. Online forums like Tumblr, Twitter, 4chan, and Reddit are responsible for a majority of meme infections, and with the constant posting and sharing, finding the source of an original meme is easier said than done. Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean. While the almost self-replicating nature of these vague symbols can get exhausting, memes in their essence can also bring people closer together—as long as they have internet access.
