Veterans Can Ride the Bus for Free in Sioux Falls, With Proper ID

As of Monday (September 14) veterans can ride any Sioux Area Metro Fixed Route bus for free.

Sioux Falls residents Greg and Jerry say it’s a great thing for Vets.

"All you need is military ID, or VA ID and you ride for free," said Greg.

"Yesterday I did ride the bus with my military ID," added Jerry. "I had it on my driver's license."

Proper ID is required which include one of the following: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Identification Card or a South Dakota state issued operator license or identification card with “VETERAN” identified on the front of the license or ID card.
