If you've always wanted to try Zumba, but didn't have a gym membership or felt nervous to join a class, then this is for you. Two opportunities to try Zumba!

Saturday night (August 21, 2021) there will be a free 25-minute pre-show Zumba class at the Levitt Shell. The lawn opens at 6 with Dawn Szymik leading a fun Zumba workout. Come early and get it on the Zumba fun then stay for music from Chris Beyer and Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas! It's the last show in Levitt's World Music Series.

Then, Sunday morning (August 22, 2021) at Great Bear Ski Valley there will be a Zumba class fundraiser for NAMI South Dakota. The 45-minute class starts at 11 a.m. and will be led by Mary W.

There is a suggested donation of $15 per person for the fundraiser. All proceeds will go to NAMI South Dakota in honor of Shannon Peterson. Shannon was part of the Sioux Falls Zumba family! She was a long-time student and taught Zumba for a while. She would have turned 52 on August 24th and her friends and family thought this Zumba fundraiser would be a great way to honor her life. The hope is to spread the message that mental health is just as important as physical health.

The fundraiser will also include a cash bar as well as raffles, prizes, and surprises!
