Touch-A-Truck Is Family Favorite

Each of the last two years we have attended a really cool event at the fields of Harmodon Park that have nothing to do with baseball or softball.

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation’s popular Touch-A-Truck event will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harmodon Park. This event gives families an opportunity get up close to many of the huge machines you see every day.

The photo above is my wife and kids sitting in the bucket of a large loader last year. The kids also got to sit in cement trucks, semi-trucks, even my youngest son's favorite, an excavator. It's a fun event to take your kids too.

There are also inflatables to distract your kids from the trucks. I'm not sure why they are there.

One thing I will warn you of is that the horns get honked. A lot. If your kids freak out at loud noise you might want ear protection. If they really freak out you might not want to take them.
