Have some old cardboard boxes lying around that you want to get rid of?  Do it in a family fun way and make them into a cardboard boat!  Bring your cardboard creation to Kuehn Pool on August 3, 2019, and put it to the test.

There are a few simple rules.  Each boat will need two people to navigate the course.  Boats must be constructed from corrugated cardboard and duct tape only.  Your boat cannot be made from hard materials like wood, plastic, fiberglass or styrofoam and no paint is allowed.  Other than that, let your creativity loose!

Lifejackets will be provided if you don't have one and swimsuits are required.  Boats will be judged on creativity, sea-worthiness and quickest to sink.  Registration is free and required.  Register online at register.siouxfallsparks.org.  Boat check-in time is 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m race time.  The race is free and the public is invited to watch.

Kuhen Pool is located at 2309 Kuehn Park Road in Sioux Falls near Roosevelt High School.
