Sioux Falls...it's time to get your checkbooks ready for the 2020 Teddy Bear Den's  "Celebrity Night Out" at the Minnehaha Country Club!

This is one of the many great non-profit organizations in the Sioux Empire.  The Teddy Bear Den "is geared toward limited income pregnant women, pregnant immigrant women, and pregnant teens as they are least likely to receive adequate care during pregnancy. We provide incentives and rewards to limited income women in exchange for maintaining a healthy lifestyle."

Over the years, 25,000 pregnant women have been able to use the Teddy Bear Den's program thanks to this successful evening.  Sandy Lown, the Executive Director of the Teddy Bear Den, says, "The Celebrity Night Out is the biggest impact of the organization.  All of the dollars we raise buy all the incentive items for our moms and our babies."

Why call it "Celebrity Night Out?"  Sandy says it's something different and any non-profit organization is always looking for unique ways to involve the community.  "When this event started, at the time we were hooked on the idea of 'celebrities,' explains Lown.  "We specifically wanted to focus on our local celebrities.  We have so many great local celebrities in Sioux Falls.  We wanted the opportunity to highlight them in some way, and this was the perfect event to do so."

The event features a sit-down dinner with 60 silent auction and 20 live auction items up for grabs!  Some of the live auction items include a dinner with South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and First Gentleman Bryon, K Restaurant’s Special cooking class for 12, and a full wine dinner experience at Ode. This package includes the winner and up to 5 guests joining Chef Bob and a wine rep for wine tasting.  You could even win Nebraska-Illinois tickets for the Big 10 showdown on October 10th during the silent auction!

The 2020 Celebrity Night Out is sold out.  However, you can always donate to the Teddy Bear Den by clicking here!
