A slippery parking lot made an SUV operated by ‘Reliable Taxi’ not so reliable on Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls.

KSFY TV is reporting that a Reliable Taxi hit an icy patch in the parking lot of the Cell Only Verizon Wireless store near 41st street and Westport Avenue around 1 PM on Sunday, (December 31) forcing the vehicle to hit the building.

According to KSFY TV, the driver lost control of the taxi and it accidentally crashed into the front of the building causing shattered glass to fall everywhere.

Fortunately, no one in the store was hurt at the time of the accident, and the driver of the vehicle didn't receive any serious injuries. However, the front of the store was damaged, but police told KSFY TV that the store is still structurally sound.

As the freezing temps started to creep inside, KSFY reports that store employees bundled up and started securing store merchandise.

The accident did force the store to close for the remainder of the day. Cell Only plans to re-open for business on Tuesday morning, (January 2).
