Temperatures

Some folks say it's why we live here in South Dakota. The change of seasons.

Alas, my icy friends, here's the coldest temps ever recorded in Sioux Falls since record-keeping began:

When you get days like this, you must indulge.

The forecast today says it's going to be 80. That's pretty warm for October 3 but is it really that strange?

Get ready for a bumpy ride. The Sioux Falls tri-state area can expect some interesting Fall weather over the next couple of days.

The calendar says that the first day of spring is March 20, 2015 which means the official end of the winter season is in sight.

Usually, temperatures will begin to rise in late January in Sioux Falls and begin a steady climb all the way to summer.  Unfortunately, we are no where near usual this year.

Since the winter is not over, the risk is great of piling on more abuse, but sometimes you need to face reality.  Not to spoil the surprise, but yes the 2013-14 winter season has been terrible.

If someone was looking to escape the colder temperatures, going north....to Alaska....might be the best bet!
