The Lincoln County Sheriff's office announced a closure on northbound I-29.

Nearly a dozen stolen road signs were discarded near Lake Alvin. Now authorities are looking for tips as to who took the signs.

While emergency responders provided life-saving measures, law enforcement was grateful for the way other motorists responded.

Over the weekend a group of thieves roamed the streets of a small town south of Sioux Falls looking for unlocked doors and potential items to steal.

After 20 years Lincoln County Sheriff Dennis Johnson will retire at the end of the year.
