The director, a regularly active user of social media platforms Twitter and Facebook, took to the web last night to show off one his one-of-a-kind interior decor. Specifically, he posted a couple photos of his coffee table, a custom-made piece designed to look just like the Awesome Mix cassette tape so cherished by Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord, in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel’s 2016 Guardians of the Galaxy animated series has conjured up a star-load of casting over the last few days, but it seems the Disney XD team has already made its way to Earth. A few weeks ago, this column was skeptical that Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' could reach $300 million. Now, it seems impossible that it won't. Thanks to ecstatic word of mouth, killer marketing and only one genuinely successful box office challenger (that would be 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'), Marvel's oddball space opera has managed to spend three of the past four weekends at the number one spot at the box office, giving it enough momentum to officially become the highest grossing film of 2014.

Although 'Guardians of the Galaxy' has already been in theaters for several days now, that's not keeping Marvel from releasing some fun 'Guardians' goodies -- like this latest featurette, in which Chris Pratt takes a very MTV's 'Cribs'-style approach to showing us around Peter Quill/Star-Lord's spaceship, the Milano.

Star-Lord? Who's Star-Lord? If you're not familiar with this hero from the farthest reaches of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you're not alone. Djimon Hounsou's Korath is just as unaware of his clout, as shown in the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' clip, but both he and everyone will soon know the name.

A few weeks ago Marvel released a teaser poster for 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' and now thanks to the glorious minds of the Internet, we have some hi-res images of the cast taken from the poster so you can get up close and personal with the whole crew -- because it's good to have hobbies, no?

At long last, the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' trailer is online, leaving behind Marvel's Earth- and Asgard-bound heroes in favor of an intergalactic band of misfits. We've already seen a few preview bits from the film through photos and 15 seconds of footage, but here's our first full look at Marvel's venture into space.
