NEW YORK - Founder Barnes & Noble's founder Leonard Riggio disclosed in a regulatory filing Monday that he wants to acquire the company's stores and website, but not the business that makes the Nook e-reader or the company's college bookstores.
A Pew Internet Research Center survey released Thursday found that the percentage of Americans aged 16 and older who read an e-book grew from 16 percent in 2011 to 23 percent this year.
Today's reading experience is nothing like the literal "page-turners" of yesteryear. But even with the e-Book, the Kindle and the iPad at our fingertips, we can still spot a wacky romance novel cover from a mile off.
