Symetra Tour Returning to Sioux Falls
The Symetra Tour's Road to the LPGA is returning to Sioux Falls the week of August 28th. Over 140 women golfers will compete in the GreatLIFE Challenge at Willow Run Golf Course.
Those taking part have a shot at a purse of $210,000, with the winner taking home $31,500. They also earn points towards a coveted spot on the LPGA tour.
The Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge is one of only four 72-hole events on the tour, and one of only 23 cities to host the tour.
The tournament will begin on Thursday September 1st, with the winner clinching the title on Sunday September 4th
Other events planned include a free kids clinic, a long drive competition, and a live show by Golf Channel Host David Feherty, Thursday, September 1st at the Washington Pavilion.
The four-day tournament is expected to have a $3 million economic impact on our community.
To ensure the success of the event, volunteers are needed to host families and to provide other services throughout the tournament.
