State Prison Inmate in Yankton Dies

A state prison inmate has died following an illness.

Inmate James Nemitz, age 67, died September 1, 2015 at a Yankton hospital. Nemitz was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2009 out of Lawrence County for sexual contact with a child under the age of 16.

An autopsy is being conducted.
