Sprint Cup Recap — Jeff Gordon Wins at Martinsville; Kenseth Ties Johnson for Points Lead
Jeff Gordon passed Matt Kenseth with 20 laps to go and held on to win the Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 at Martinsville, Va. on Sunday. The victory was Gordon's first of the 2013 season and his 88th career Sprint Cup Series win.
Kenseth overcame his longtime struggles at Martinsville to finish in a career-best second place. He pulled into a tie with Jimmie Johnson atop the Cup Series points standings with three races left.
Clint Bowyer, Brad Keselowski and Johnson completed the top five finishers.
The Chase will resume next Sunday at Fort Worth, Tex.
