South Dakota State Wins Summit League All-Sports Title
For the second time in the last three years, South Dakota State has captured the Summit League's Commissioner’s Cup.
Jackrabbits' athletic programs tallied 94.5 points to easily outdistance second-place North Dakota State (87). South Dakota, in just its second year as a Summit member, took third (78.5).
SDSU won the award on the strength of first-place finishes in men’s cross country, men’s basketball and women’s basketball. The Jacks finished in the top three in 10 of the 18 Summit League sports in the 2012-13 academic year.
The Coyotes won the men’s indoor track & field title and placed second in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf and men’s and women’s outdoor track & field.
SDSU won the overall men's trophy, NDSU the women's.
