Tuesday's Winter Storm brought lots of snow to the Sioux Falls tri-state area.

According to Kyle Weisser of the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls:

Snowfall amounts varied greatly around the area.  The snow storm took longer to get to Sioux Falls than expected.  It seemed to linger over the Yankton area where as much as 13 inches of snow fell. The heavier snowfall was south of I-90.

Here are some of the snowfall amounts around the area as of Wednesday morning:

  • Beresford:13"
  • Canton: 7.5"
  • Hawarden: 8"
  • Rock Valley: 8"
  • Sioux Falls: 6-7"
  • Tyndall: 9.7"
  • Vermillion: 8"
  • Yankton: 13"
  • Winner: 10"
