Sioux Falls Police arrested a Sioux Falls resident following a high speed pursuit.

"We had an officer on Thursday morning who saw a car speeding around 49th Street and Cliff Avenue," Police Spokesman Sam Clemens told us. "As the officer went to stop this car---it continued on and came up to 57th Street and Cliff Avenue. The car was trying to make a left turn onto 57th Street. But, there was a lot of traffic in that intersection.

Clemens told us the suspect turned into the on coming lane of traffic. While making a left turn, the driver hit another car that was also making a left turn. Both cars were disabled."

20 year old Ziara Rivas is charged with aggravated eluding, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.
