Sioux Falls Man Attacked by Own Pit Bulls, Dogs Euthanized

Police say a Sioux Falls man turned his two pit bulls over to Animal Control Wednesday afternoon after the dogs got violent with each other and with him.

Captain Greg VandeKamp says police and Animal Control were called just after 1:15pm to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

VandeKamp says the man told officers his two pit bulls had gotten into a fight with each other:

VandeKamp says the dogs, who also had injuries, were later euthanized.

The owner was treated at a hospital for puncture wounds and lacerations. He told Animal Control officers the dogs had become progressively more violent with each other.
