Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Battles Garage Blaze

A garage fire in Northeast Sioux Falls kept first responders busy on Sunday.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue arrived at 2106 E 30th St N in the Norton Tracks neighborhood to find a small detached garage on fire behind the residence according to KSFY.

Crews brought the fire under control about five minutes after arrival.

There was a report of someone inside the garage when the fire started, but that person had left the scene before Sioux Falls Fire arrived.

KSFY is reporting that police on the scene were able to find the subject and requested paramedics to evaluate them for possible smoke inhalation.

No other injuries were reported.  The cause remains under investigation.
