An elderly woman did significant damage to the front of her car and did minor damage to the Gas Stop at 26th and Sertoma on Monday afternoon.

The woman believed to be in her 90’s initially wanted to have someone pump her gas for her. According to the Store Manager, the woman left the pump without paying, circled around and struck a GMC Yukon before ramming the building.

As a result, there were a few cracks in the outside wall but no initial structural damage was visible. Inside the store, the jolt knocked a few bottles out of the wine section to the floor for minimal clean up.

No serious injuries resulted from the crash which happened about 1:30 PM. Additionally the store remained open despite the mishap.
