If you have, or know of, a college student with a burning desire to pursue a life of public service and you absolutely cannot talk them out of it, (just kidding) this may be for them.

Senator John Thune's office is taking applications for spring interns. In fact, applicants would be considered not only for his office in Washington, but also in Aberdeen, Rapid City and Sioux Falls.

The educational opportunity alone is priceless. Interns who land in the state offices will work with constituents and perform outreach activities. Washington D.C. interns will get to witness the legislative process in action, give tours of the Capitol building, and be present during Senate hearings and votes.

Senator Thune says:

“The opportunity to intern in a Senate office is one of the best ways to learn how our federal government works, interns in my office will experience the inner workings of a Senate office firsthand, while improving their legislative knowledge and communication skills. I encourage all college students to consider applying for this rewarding experience.”

If your college student would like to intern in the Washington office they need to submit their cover letter and resume, by October 31, 2017, to:
