Ravina is off the beaten path just a bit. It's actually between Wagner  and Lake Andes. There isn't much there for a town anymore, but anyone that knows the area knows there are some great people there.

Ravinia was a town of about 150 back in the day. In the 1950's they actually made it to the State Basketball Tournament. Like so many small towns, people have moved on.

This weekend will be a bit different, the local Fire Department is having their Rib Cook Off . According to their Facebook post;

The Ravinia Fire Department will be hosting yet again another great rib cookoff!! We will be getting cooks from the surrounding fire departments competing again to see who has the best ribs around. Please bring a chair and come out and support our department!! Corn hole tournament at noon and serving ribs to the public at 5!! COLD Drinks will be available, no coolers please.

I'll be there shortly after 4:00 PM. Looking forward to a cold beer and some great ribs and haning out with some of the locals!  See you there this weekend!  Shout out to Chad Soulek. The picture above is that smoker on wheels that Chad pulls around to competitions. Wonder if he'll be there!
