Pitbull Bites Stranger in Downtown Sioux Falls
A man outside a downtown store in Sioux Falls was bit by a large black pitbull that didn't have a collar. The dog's owner was present at the time and there was a short exchange of conversation, but concerns have now grown regarding vaccinations for the pitbull. Authorities have released the following statement:
On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, Animal Control officers responded to a dog bite that occurred around 9:30 pm across the street from Mercatos grocery, near the intersection of S. Duluth and West 11th Street. The dog was a large black pitbull with no collar and it was outside with the owner at the time of the bite. The man that was bitten did speak with the owner shortly after the bite. The owner of the dog was a white male wearing dark clothing who spoke with an Italian accent.
